In science class, we are learning about wieght, mass and matter. Did you know that there is a difference between weight and mass. For one thing, weight is measured in Newtons, and mass is measured in grams. Another difference is that weight is totally relied on gravity. If you go to another planet or the moon, the gravity is different, so your weight changes on how much gravity is there. The mass of an object is how much matter something has. Matter is how much space something takes up. If you were to be on another planet or moon, your mass wouldn't change, because you don't get smaller or bigger wherever you go.

The project we did in class today was to see whether gum would lose or gain mass after being chewed. We had a triple-beam balance for every table, and a section for every person on the scale. Ms. Poole, my science teacher, asked us to write down our hypotheses. Then she asked to raise our hands if we thought the mass would increase after chewing the gum. I didn't raise my hand until she asked us to raise our hands if we think the mass will decrease. Most of the kids raised their hands thinking it would increase. Then we started to chew the gum. Every two minutes, she would notify us, and we would spit out our gum, put it in our wrappers, and put it on our section of the balance. We then found the mass of the gum all together. We did this until we measured the mass of the gum five times, so by the time we were done with the experiment, the gum was chewed for ten minutes. In the end, we found out that chewing gum decreases the mass of the gum. I was right!

When you wnt the volume of an object you simply multiply the objects width x height x lenghth. But how do you get, let's say, a rocks volume? Its definitely not going to be easy to get a correct answer. Well, this rock is called an irregular object. The way you measure this object's volume is by getting a marked object that can contain luiquid, such as a beaker graduated cylinder or a flask. You then fill it up with water to an even increment, and put the irregular object in there. The water is going to arise. However much it rose, that is your volume. You always write cm3 ( 3 as in cubed ) or cubic centimeters to show that you are writing down the object's volume. That's how you get an irregular object's voume.

I have different traits from different members of my family. I look more like my father, because I have dark skin like him. My brother and sister look more like my mother since they have a lighter tone of skin, and some freckles. All of us kids have brown eyes like my father, not green like my mother's eyes. My hair is aslo darker than my sibling's hair, more like my father's hair. My nose is a bit larger like my father's. And my nails are like my mother's nails too. My bother's eyebrows are very bright brown, my sister's are a little darker, and mine are the darkest. In general, I look alot more like my father than my mother, but my sister and brother are more like my mother. My brother also looks alot more than my grandfather on my mother's side, with a square chin and strength. I look more like my grandfather on my father's side because both of us have a more compact body. In conclusion, I look a lot more like my father's side of the family, but my brother looks more like my mother's side of the family, but my sister looks like a combination of both.

How do you now you have cells even if you don't feel any cellular activity? This is a question I was recently asked, and I had no idea what the the guy that asked me was talking about. Then, in the middle of the night, it hit me. Let me tell you this question in English, How do you know you have cells, if you can't feel them doing anything. First of all, you need cells to live. It's a must. You need them to breathe, eat, sleep move, almost everything that your body needs to do to live. One way you know for sure that you have cells, if you don't believe me, is just put your hand over the left side of your chest. Yes your heart does need cells to fuction correctly. If you can eat then you know you have cells. This is a little extreme, but if you still don't believe me,  you can cut yourself and put some of your blood under a microscope and look for the cells there. That's live proof right there, you can't argue with it. Well, this is what I hope is the correct answer to your question, person who asked me the qeustion.
