In my World History class, learn about, well, world history. We learn most of the content from our history book. To make sure we absolutely know what we're doing we take cornell notes on each lesson. Cornell notes aren't very fun, but in the end we are masters at the subject. We also have a simulation every few weeks, and the simulation is to do things that we learned about in the previous chapter. Those are always fun! I also have a blog about Core, so make sure to chick it out and give some feedback on what you think. My Core ( Language Arts and World History ) teacher is Mrs. Baird. Click on the "Mrs. Baird" button to go to her website, or click on the "Core Concentration" button to go to my Core blog.
Renaissance Project - Galileo GalileiOur assignment in Core was to create a Google Drawing or Microsoft Word of a Renaissance person and list their contributions and major biographical achievements. From this project, I learned how to better organize a Google Drawing, because I had so much information and so little space. I also learned a lot about Galileo; about his achievements and his life. This project definitely helped me in both computer skills and my history skills. This project probably helped my research skills too.

Rome PoemIn World History class, our assignment was to create a poem about the Roman Empire. This is the poem I created. From this assignment I learned how to use Google Docs even more, and I had to study and review my Roman Empire unit to be able to write this. Because of this assignment, I got to be able to be more familiar with writing poems and to recap on my Roman history. My teacher gave me a 100% on it. What do you think? I think that its one of the best poems I made so far. I think this was a fun and easy way to remember and relearn Roman Empire history. Using Google Docs has been making creating a document very easy. I definitely recommend using Google Docs.
